Let There Be Love… Standing on The Shoulder of Giants, St. Louis britpop enthusiasts, Aquitaine, will Cast No Shadow as they take on Oasis for AUCW6 Night 1, on September 7th, 2012.
Familiar To Millions, Some Might Say that any band with a Union Jack emblazoned guitar might Acquiesce into sounding like Oasis after enough Cigarettes & Alcohol — but that’s not exactly true. Because, Half The World Away, holed up in a secret St. Louis basement, the four-plus-two members of Aquitaine truly have The Masterplan and are gearing up to Turn Up The Sun. And, there’s no doubt in our minds that their set will Live Forever in the compendium of AUCW as year six’s Champagne Supernova.
Born On A Different Cloud, and comprised of Will Hildebrandt, Gerald Good, Dave Collett, Chris Luckett (3-time AUCW alum), and featuring special guests Mike Cracchiolo of False Moves and Graham Day of Prune, Aquitaine are exactly The Shock of Lightning needed to open up year six of AUCW.
Come this September 7th, regardless of whether you’re Married With Children, Hung In A Bad Place, or confined to a Rockin’ Chair, you will find a way to catch this set. Because that night, Underneath The Sky of Downtown St. Louis, Aquitaine will truly be a Force of Nature as Oasis. And, Don’t Look Back In Anger if you end up Going Nowhere and missing it — we warned you! D’You Know What I Mean?
We are truly honored to have Aquitaine join the AUCW family this year and even more so for them to be our first leak of 2012. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s reveal of Animal Empty‘s AUCW identity and feel free to browse the full schedule of 2012 leaks.
Oh and by the way, be sure to check out Aquitaine’s fantastic new album, ‘American Pulverizer, Part 1‘, which was just released on June 29th, 2012.
Be Here Now…
